Description
Paper Poster. No Frame. No Canvas.
hunched black wings crossed as a sign of profound dissatisfaction, its orange legs firmly standing on the ground, and a garland made up of colorful red and orange autumn leaves placed on its head as a forced decoration of the season, all in a loose and sketchy blue-gray painted background with white borders, creating an atmosphere of freshness and spontaneity in the poster, and giving it a unique character. The wonderful and expressive poster has been illustrated using the wonderfully expressive technique of digital illustration where there are loose backgrounds filled with brushstroke textures, precise characters and their clear outlines, as well as amazing usage of exaggerated proportions of the eyes, beak, and body of the bird character, making it extremely funny and expressive and forcing anyone who looks at it to immediately love the little bird. The crowning glory of this picture is the autumn leaf crown, which is an extremely inspired element of the composition and implies a bird that had been decorated for autumn despite its clear protests and is tolerating this humiliation with minimal grace and maximal barely restrained annoyance, thus implying a very interesting story about autumn festivities being forced on a very festival-unfriendly creature. The color scheme of the painting is very warm and autumnal and harmonious; it combines the blue-gray colors of the bird’s plumage, red and orange autumn leaves, the orange beak and feet of the bird, and the blue-gray washes in the background, thus making the painting look appropriately autumnal and yet modern and distinctive. This poster would be a great decorative piece for people who like autumn and want to decorate their interiors in an interesting way with animal pictures rather than pumpkins and leaves. It is also an excellent option for bird lovers, people who love crows and ravens, and individuals who feel themselves identified by the bird’s attitude towards resigned and dignified sufferings from unwanted festive zeal — a relatable emotional state which appeals to any humor-loving adult of any age and personality type. Given the autumn color scheme and subject of the poster, it is perfect for decorating living rooms, kitchens, home offices and entrances with humor and personality during the autumn period when it becomes a unique and amusing substitute for the traditional seasonal decorations that can draw guests’ attention and stay in their memory for a long time. With its practical size of 10×10 inches square format, the poster looks great in different settings and it can be easily placed on a shelf, a small wall space, a desk or become a part of the humorous gallery wall decoration with its seasonal or bird theme. The painterly background with brushstrokes and white border edges in this particular design contributes to the creation of a unique artistic character of the piece, which makes it more interesting than any other novelty poster featuring funny characters. Made on the high-quality enhanced matte paper with bright colors and excellent texture replication in brushstrokes as well as perfect details of the bird’s huge eyes and orange beak, each leaf individually designed, this poster about the grumpy crow is an exceptional example of a truly delightful decoration. It can really make any interior interesting, funny and cheerful all the time during the glorious season of autumn, when there are a lot of leaves and it seems not to be wanted at all.
