Description
Paper Poster. No Frame. No Canvas.
seated on rocks next to a highly expressive, wild-haired and goggled-eyed old professor character, both situated on a completely deserted basketball court with a basket clearly visible in the background colored in warm amber, to produce an image so perfectly created to be humorous that it deserves thorough examination. The picture is executed in an exceptionally refined cartoon illustration technique with elements of classic animation movie character design, comic book illustration, and contemporary digital art, with superbly expressive character faces, highly exaggerated proportions, rich warm amber/golden coloring in the background, and sophisticated character design and illustration technique giving the work artistic integrity far beyond novelty poster category. The color scheme of the poster is harmonious and carefully balanced with the abundance of rich golden amber and ochre tones in the background, and the orange color of the alien’s basketball jersey serves as the central accent color. The idea behind the poster is brilliant and full of layers – an alien that appears on Earth in order to play basketball along with a puzzled scientist is a great idea that opens up a lot of opportunities and a number of possible explanations regarding their meeting, the alien’s reasons for coming here, the misunderstanding of their cultures, and the fact that the most valuable thing we can provide to visiting aliens is the game of basketball. This poster would suit perfectly teenagers and people of younger age who enjoy absurdist and science fiction comedy movies and stories, basketball culture, and such an art of creating a picture that tells a full-fledged story. In addition, this item would also be extremely appealing to fans of basketball who enjoy humor, to sci-fi fans with great senses of humor, to fans of cartoon art, and to those who collect truly unique wall art pieces which express a wonderfully eccentric, imaginative, and creative personality. Thanks to the use of amber and golden tones in its color palette, this poster could be considered to be extremely versatile decoration that could fit perfectly well in gaming rooms, teenage rooms, college dorms, offices, creative studios, and man caves, in which humorous art is greatly appreciated as an integral element of the interior atmosphere. This is very nicely illustrated by the shown lifestyle image of a tote bag that is designed with the same beloved pair of aliens playing basketball as the poster. The very spacious 18×24 inch vertical size makes this poster have great presence on any wall and gives an opportunity to appreciate every hilarious detail of the characters – whether it is the well-worn sneakers and tilted cap of the alien or the hair and eyes wide open from complete shock of the professor – even sitting several feet away from it. Printed on high quality enhanced matte paper with excellent character detail, great color representation all over the beautiful golden amber background, and outstanding illustration quality which makes every line of this masterpiece piece of humorous character artwork to speak for itself, this poster offers truly excellent and continuously entertaining decoration solution that brings true laughs to anyone’s house.
